Required CoursesBIO-1030 Introduction to Nutrition Choose one of the following COM-1015 Communication in Early Childhood Education Workplace or COM-1020 Interpersonal & Small Group Communication Choose one of the following EDU-1030 Introduction to Early Childhood Education or EDU-2010 Foundations of Education or EDU-2110 Introduction to Exceptional Populations Choose one of the following PSY-2020 Infant & Toddler Development or PSY-2025 Development of the Young Child: Ages 3 to 8 EDU, PSY or SOC elective* EDU, PSY or SOC elective* EDU-2075 Literature for Children *Choose courses based on the five areas of professional competency for early childhood educators in Vermont including: Child Development, Family & Community, Teaching & Learning, Health & Safety, and Professionalism/Program Organizations.
