Career Development![]() Exploring Career OptionsCareer development is a three-part process consisting of:
Self-assessment skills are offered through courses and workshops that help you define your strengths and interests. Courses help you develop both general and specific job-related skills. Career exploration happens through field experiences and service learning as well as certain courses, such as Career & Life Planning, that have this as a specific objective. Guest speakers, faculty working in their fields, and other students are also valuable sources of information. Academic advisors, workshops and courses help you make informed decisions and set appropriate goals. And the critical thinking skills that are a goal of every CCV course will be a great help in planning and preparing for a career. PartnershipsThrough partners such as Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) and the Vermont Department of Labor (VT DoL), CCV offers access and referrals to specific, direct employment services.
