Financial Aid Eligibility for Students with Prior Degrees

If you have already completed a college degree and are pursuing your second degree here at CCV, you may be eligible for some financial assistance. However, there are additional steps that you will need to complete before we can determine if you are eligible for financial aid. These steps include:

• Submit unopened official transcripts from all of your previous colleges to Transcript Clerk, CCV, PO Box 489, Montpelier VT 05601 (Required for all transfer applicants)
• Meet with a CCV academic advisor to create your Second Degree Plan
• Apply for financial aid

You must complete the three steps above before we can determine your financial aid eligibility and before you can register for classes. Please submit your previous college transcripts as soon as possible, as you cannot create your Second Degree Plan, receive financial aid, or register for classes until all transcripts are received.

Once CCV receives and evaluates your transcripts, you can meet with an advisor to create your Second Degree Plan, which will identify the requirements you have left to complete your program.

If your financial aid is approved, you will only be permitted to enroll in courses required in your Second Degree Plan. If you want to change your degree program, you will be required to submit a new Second Degree Plan and your financial aid eligibility will be reevaluated. In addition, your program change will not take effect until the next semester.
