How is Financial Aid Credited to Your Student Account?![]() Aid is Awarded Based on Your Enrolled CreditsYour financial aid is awarded based on your anticipated number of enrolled credits. If you change your number of credit during add/drop, your financial aid will be reviewed and may be adjusted based on your final number of officially enrolled credits. Aid Released to Student Accounts Based on Your Class AttendanceBeginning at the end of the add/drop period, the financial aid counselor at your site will review the attendance as recorded by the faculty members. If you are attending your classes regularly, your aid will be released to your account. If you have been absent from some or all of your classes, this will delay the release of your aid. If you stop attending classes after your aid is released, this may result in you owing CCV a bill. Please see Dropping A Course for more information. Please note you may get a notice from your lender with a tentative disbursement date of your student loan; that is in all likelihood not the date your loan will be released, as we need to check attendance before we authorize the lender to release your loan disbursement. The date they send you in their notice is simply the earliest possible date it could be released. Receiving a Financial Aid RefundOnce your financial aid is posted to your account and you have financial aid in excess of your tuition, fees, and book voucher (if applicable), you are entitled to a financial aid refund. Refunds are run once a week by the CCV Student Accounts Office. Paper checks are mailed from our CCV administrative office at 660 Elm Street in Montpelier, but for faster receipt of your refund, you can also sign up for automatic refunds that go directly to your bank account. To sign up, go to the Blackboard portal and follow these easy steps: |
