High School Students

College for Free? Yes!

  • If you are in the high school graduating class of 2013 or 2014, come to CCV and take a free college course using a dual enrollment voucher. Request the voucher here.
  • Graduating in 2015? Come in and meet with an advisor to find out about your options to take a free course.
  • If you will be a sophomore next year, check out our free course, Introduction to College Studies, a class that gives you the skills you need to be successful in a dual enrollment course and beyond.

Introduction to College Studies

CCV offers a free, non-credit Introduction to College Studies course for high school students each semester. To enroll in this class apply online. On the application, you will have the opportunity to select a specific Introduction to College Studies course. Assessments are not required as they will be completed later as part of the ICS class.

Visit the ICS website.

Taking Courses for Credit

CCV also welcomes high school students who may want to:

  • get a jump-start on earning college credit
  • take a course not offered at their school or
  • try out a college class

You may earn both high school and college credit with a CCV course. Talk with your high school counselor about this possibility.

Technical Center Students have a special option through the Fast Forward program.

Students under the age of 16 need special permission to enroll at CCV. Contact a CCV advisor for more information.
