![]() Matter of Timing by Isaac Wasuck. Lower Level GalleryIsaac Wasuck Now in the Lower Level Cherry Street Hallway Gallery Isaac was born in St. Albans, Vermont. Following high school, he ventured west, as many before, and tried to discover what should be done in life. After working a 9 to 5 job and working on sheep farms in New Zealand, came back to the states and moved to Philadelphia. He attended the university of the arts and received, four years later in 1999, a BFA degree. Since graduation, has moved many more times to various places around the east coast before settling down in Burlington. In this little spot in the world he tries to focus intently on painting, photography, and whatever other art falls in his path, and establishing himself as a contender in the 'art world'. For Isaac, creating art is a constant failing attempt to escape meaning. His catalog tells a long, drawn out, unintended and detailed story of his life as a fugitive from substance. Artist’s intent is always implied and overcoming the paradox of his 'this means nothing' theme is an impossible trap. His work is a document of trying to overcome the impossible.

We continue to enjoy the fact that local galleries and museums are part of a map that is printed and distributed throughout Burlington each month. Pearl Street and Cherry Street are listed on the map, and we know this has encouraged more foot traffic through our galleries. Due to the hours the Burlington site is normally opened, the Pearl Street Gallery and the two Cherry Street Galleries have different viewing hours. Please check the Art Map for gallery hours.
