CCV Burlington Offers Space to Local Artists

Mission:
CCV Burlington invites artists to exhibit their work in CCV's Hallway Galleries. The galleries are located in the main hallway in the Pearl Street building, the atrium space in the Cherry Street lower level, and the 3rd floor of the Cherry Street building. We are currently accepting submissions for art and craft exibits.

These hallway galleries are designed to act as an academic forum for the display of new ideas. Their ultimate purpose is to expose CCV students and the Burlington community to contemporary artists, their art, and processes. Artists will display their work for a semester and may be invited to give a community slide lecture demonstrating their artistic process, emphasizing the use of materials, fundamentals of design, and importance of the foundations to developing artists.

To Apply:
Visiting Artist Gallery Use Application The Hallway Galleries are now being judged by a committee, however, the gallery curator reserves the right to final decisions regarding choice of images or objects to be placed in each exhibit.

Erik Goodrich, Photography

Born and raised in the Green Mountains of Vermont, Erik graduated from a small town high school in 1990. Later he attended the Art Institute of Atlanta receiving a Media Arts/Audio Engineering degree. Eventually he returned to New England, and started working for WCAX television, a CBS affiliate in Burlington. Networking, hard work and a fair amount of serendipity have found Erik working as a Videographer/Editor. Directing local commercials, political and news promotions, both topical and image campaigns. He has also branched out into the independent filmmaking field and has worked on a numbers of "shorts" and "webisodes". In 2006, he was brought aboard as Director of Photography on "Late Night Saturday" airing in Vermont and Southern Quebec. LNS is a live to tape program following the standard "late night" talk show format.

Other Artistic News

The Burlington Hallway Galleries is now listed in the hottest new locally based art zine around, The Art Map Burlington (distributed by Kasini House)! We continue to enjoy the fact that local galleries and museums are part of a map that is printed and distributed throughout Burlington each month. Pearl Street and Cherry Street are listed on the map, and we know this has encouraged more foot traffic through our galleries. Due to the hours the Burlington site is normally opened, the Pearl Street Gallery and the two Cherry Street Galleries have different viewing hours. Please check the Art Map for gallery hours.
