Chris Mason, Program Manager for MathematicsChris Mason and his family moved from California to Vermont in 1997. They had planned on attending graduate school for a couple years, then head back west. Instead they found Vermont to be a wonderful home, and have been here ever since. ![]() Prior to becoming an Academic Coordinator in 1999, Chris taught math at UVM and Norwich University. In 2004, Chris took on the role of chair of the Mathematics Committee. Chris has also been chairing the Quantitative Reasoning Committee, working to develop and implement assessments for the Quantitative Reasoning graduation standard. Chris has been leading his committees in the work of ensuring that CCV students become proficient in quantitative reasoning through learning in math and other curricular areas. Initiatives for student success in quantitative reasoning could not have happened were it not for the dedication and imagination of his committee. In addition to his work on the Program Management Council, Chris has been an active member of several other committees that focus on student learning. These include the General Education Task Force, the VSC General Education Planning Group, the Success By Design Task Force, the Hybrid Task Force and Academic Council. |
