Laura Rubenis, Program Manager for Criminal Justice![]() Laura Rubenis moved from her native Toronto, Canada to Vermont for the skiing twenty years ago. After settling on the banks of the beautiful White River, she’s pretty much traded in her skis for a fly rod and now spends most of her summers and falls angling for an elusive trophy brown trout somewhere in the riffles below Sharon. Laura joined CCV as a Coordinator of Academic Services in April 2007 after freelancing as a Professor of American History and Social Sciences at CCV, Johnson State’s EDP, and Woodbury College in Vermont, and Franklin Pierce, Lebanon, Granite State and Colby Sawyer Colleges in New Hampshire. Her appreciation of establishing long-term academic partnerships between colleges, developing online learning opportunities, and providing professional networking opportunities for CCV students are driving forces behind Laura’s management of the CRJ program. In addition to serving on the Program Management council, Laura advises Upper Valley EDP students, mentors the site’s Student Advisory Board, and is a member of the College’s Civic Engagement Committee. Integrating service-based learning and developing community partnerships across the disciplines remain central to Laura’s work at CCV. |
