Introduction to College Studies


A free course for high-school students

CCV offers Introduction to College Studies in each CCV location each semester. This free, non credit course helps you develop skills and strategies for college success. You'll learn about:

  • Note and test taking.
  • Study and communication skills.
  • Time and stress management.
  • Goal setting and organizational skills.
  • Financial aid
    …and more.

Many schools offer high-school credit for successful completion of this class. If you successfully complete Introduction to College Studies while you are still in high school, you may be eligible to apply for a voucher to take two free courses at Castleton State College, Community College of Vermont, Johnson State College, Lyndon State College, or Vermont Technical College .

Students will receive and complete voucher applications as part of the Introduction to College Studies class. Voucher applications are also available at all CCV locations.
