Schedule an Assessment

To schedule an assessment, call the CCV Burlington front desk at (802) 865-4422 and ask to schedule a time to take your basic skills assessments. If you know your student ID number please have it available when you call.

Assessments are offered Monday - Friday from 9 am to 6 pm (6 pm is the final starting time). Before 3 pm, assessments are held in our 110 Cherry Street building (room 204). Assessments starting after 3 pm are held at our 119 Pearl Street location (check in at the reception desk upon arrival). New college students will take two assessments in English and two in math. On average, each assessment takes 30 minutes but there is no time limit. All students who take assessments will be required to show photo ID at the time of the assessment so please bring this with you.

Before taking basic skills assessments, all new CCV Burlington students are encouraged to attend an Admissions and Financial Aid Appointment.

Information for Transfer Students

If you have taken courses at other colleges and you are applying for financial aid or working toward a degree at CCV, you will be required to have official, unopened transcripts submitted to CCV from each of your previous colleges. These transcripts will then be evaluated for transfer credit at CCV. For more information on this process, click here.

Some or all of the basic skills assessments may be waived for applicants with previous college credit. Students who have successfully completed college-level coursework must supply documentation (such as a transcript) of their courses, grades, and credits to be considered for this waiver.
