Free computer equipment for CCV studentsProject OverviewThe Frankenstein Project is our modest attempt at providing computer technology to CCV students who do not have access to even a basic computer. These systems are available only to CCV students currently enrolled in 3 or more credits . For details about the eligibility requirements and exactly what systems are available please login to CCV's Blackboard Portal, navigate to the Student Organization and click on the Opportunities button. There you will see a Frankenstein Project folder which will have a thorough Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). Making DonationsIf you would like to donate a system remember that it must be a working PC or Macintosh system. Use the following basic guidelines to determine if it is something our students can use:
If you said yes to all these questions it's pretty likely that you have a system that our students could use. It would really help us out a lot if you would download a small program (it fits on a floppy disk) called the Belarc Advisor. Click here to go to the Belarc Homepage. It will take a detailed inventory of your computer and display that information in your web browser. A print out of this report would be the best source of information for us to determine if a donation candidate can be accepted into the project. If you have questions about donations please contact Karen Case at the Montpelier CCV site by clicking here to send an e-mail or by calling 828-0125. Available SystemsPlease reference the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) found in CCV's Blackboard Portal > CCV Student Organization > Opportunities > Frankenstein Project folder to learn how to obtain one of these systems and if you meet the eligiblity requirements. | ||
