Steps to becoming a CCV student

Step 1: New Student Advising Appointment

At the New Student Advising Appointment you will learn:

  • More about CCV
  • Understand the process of becoming a student
  • Have clear cut idea of what your next steps will be

Please call 888-4258 to sign up.

Step 2: Apply to CCV

To apply go to www.ccv.edu/apply

Step 3: Take the English and Math assessments

The Community College of Vermont uses the College Board's Accuplacer assessments. New CCV students need to take the sentence skills, reading comprehension, arithmetic and elementary algebra assessments. Your scores will help you and your advisor choose the most appropriate classes.
Since the results of these assessments help your advisor recommend which classes you should begin with here at CCV, it is important that you prepare for the assessments so that they give us the most useful information possible. Once you have completed your assessments, your advisor will then help you decide which classes to register for.

Step 4: Submit official college transcripts

Have all of your official college transcripts sent to the CCV Registrar at:

PO Box 489
Montpelier, VT 05601-0489
