The Student Advisory Board

The Student Advisory Board (SAB) meeting is open to all students and is an opportunity to get involved with college activities.

The SAB provides a forum to discuss the programs and services offered by CCV and reviews student related policies and procedures. The board is made up of two student representatives from each of the College's 12 offices. The SAB meets at least once every semester with CCV's dean of student services, and/or other College administrators.

If you are interested in participating with the current SAB please call Deb Grant at 885-8372 for the date of the next meeting.

Vermont State Colleges Student Association

The Vermont State Colleges Student Association (VSCSA) membership includes there representatives from each of the five Vermont State Colleges. Each year, three members from CCV’s SAB are selected to serve on the Vermont State Colleges Student Association. The VSCSA provides CCV students with the opportunity to work with students from the other Vermont State Colleges on student-related issues. The VSCSA advocates for the rights and interests of Vermont State College students and fosters dialog among institutions.

America Reads

America Reads is a great opportunity for you to participate in a national effort to improve the lives of children in your community by reading with them. The program was organized in response to national studies which found that close to 40% to U.S. children are not reading well by the end of the third grade.

An America Reads reading partner would work with individual children or small groups inspiring your kids to read better by sharing the joy and power or reading. If you are interested in becoming a reading partner for America Reads, please contact Deb Grant for more information. 885-8360
