NEWS AND EVENTS![]() BURLINGTON ACCESS DAY FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTSOn Monday, May 19, high school students are invited to Access Day at the Burlington location, 110 Cherry Street, to learn more about attending college. Access Day is an opportunity to talk to CCV students and attend a college class, and find out what CCV is all about, especially for students who Two sessions will be offered: the morning session will take place from 8:45 to 10:45 am, and an afternoon session from noon to 2 pm. The sessions are free and refreshments will be served. For more information, call the CCV Burlington office at 865-4422. Whipple Appointed To Medal Of Valor Review BoardCCV Faculty Trevor Whipple was recently appointed to the Medal of Valor review board, a group which nominates recipients for the Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor, the highest national award for valor by a public safety officer. Trevor was recommended for the board by Vermont Senator Leahy and appointed by the US Senate. As a member of the board, he will answer directly to the Attorney General of the United States who forwards the recommendation of the 11-member panel directly to the President. In addition to teaching at CCV, Trevor Whipple is Chief of Police for South Burlington and has spent his entire working life devoted to public service.
