When should I begin planning to transfer?

If possible, give yourself at least a year before you intend to transfer. You’ll need time to do your research and complete all the necessary paperwork. The sooner you start the better the chances that your transition will be a smooth one.

I'm not sure which concentration I want to pursue - What should I do?

You can’t go wrong taking liberal arts courses while you are at CCV; they will give you a broad perspective that can help you decide what direction you want to take and they transfer well. Attend a career decision-making workshop to help to identify your goals and the resources that can be of help.

How do I decide what colleges are best for me?

Make a list of things you would like to find at your selected college. Consider your needs regarding the school’s location, size, program offerings, course schedule, housing options, student support services, affordability, financial aid, etc. Then, start your search to see which schools meet your criteria. Don’t limit yourself to just one option.
