Community College of Vermont Previews: An e-Newsletter for Future CCV Students

Study Abroad in France

May 12 - 21, 2006

CCV is offering its seventh Study Abroad course next semester—this time an Art Appreciation course in Paris. After a series of weekend classes in Montpelier, students will embark on a 10-day study tour, where they will view first-hand some of the great masterpieces of Western painting, sculpture, and architecture.

Highlights of the time in France include:

  • Guided visits to major museums in Paris
  • Time to visit historical monuments such as Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe
  • Day trips to Chartres Cathedral, Versailles, and Monet’s home in Giverny
  • Evening musical and dramatic performances

CCV’s Study Abroad programs allow students access to another country, another culture, and what seems like another world. Participants benefit from the opportunity to learn first-hand in a rich environment, and frequently describe the experience as having changed their lives forever.

The French trip is limited to 20 participants. Registration starts November 28 and continues until all places are filled. Financial aid is available to qualified students.
