Work-Study Options![]() Each CCV office offers part-time positions for working while studying You must be enrolled in at least six credits of a degree program and have financial need. Consult your financial aid counselor about eligibility. America ReadsAmerica Reads, one of CCV’s work-study options, is a great opportunity for you to participate in a national effort to improve the lives of children in your community by reading with them. The program was organized in response to recent national studies, which found that close to 40 percent of U.S. children are not reading well by the end of third grade. Colleges like CCV are playing a key role in this effort by having work-study students and volunteers read with children. Reading partners—college work-study students and volunteers—are the key to America Reads. Reading partners work with individual children or small groups, from pre-school through fourth grade, and serve as role models who inspire young kids to read better by sharing the joy and power of reading. If you are interested in participating, contact your advisor or financial aid counselor. Check this fun website about the program. |
