Study Abroad, France 2006In this Art Appreciation (ART-1050) course students explored the nature of art--its creation, visual elements, meanings, and styles. At the end of the semester, in May they had a chance to view some of the great masterpieces of Western painting, sculpture and architecture during a study tour to France. ![]() Trip HighlightsMay 12 - 21, 2006
The course included:
InstructorAnn Newsmith studied art history on a study abroad program in Paris as an undergraduate, then returned to live and work in France while completing research for her dissertation on medieval sculpture. Fluent in French, she has traveled widely throughout Europe and central America, where she has led groups for a variety of different organizations.
