Study Abroad in EnglandMay 11 – 20, 2007 - Archaeology: Tracing the Human PastThis course examined how a society can be understood by looking at its material remains. It covered the historical development of archaeology, considered archaeological sites as endangered cultural resources, and sampled cultural evidence from around the world. During a trip to England, students were able to research and observe field sites on location. The wide variety of sites spans from the Paleolithic (Old Stone Age) through Medieval periods. ![]() Highlights included:
