Study Abroad in Greece![]() Jan 3 - 11, 2008 - MythologyThis course explored the meaning of mythology and the evolution of mythical thought. Mythology was considered as an explanation of the way the world is ordered and how humans respond to that order. Students examined the relevance of myth to their own daily life. Then they embarked on a journey worthy of Homer's epics. They ascended the mythical mountain perches of Greek gods and their temples along their travels through Athens, Olympia, and Cape Sounion. They came face-to-face with ancient relics, stood where the first Olympic athletes competed, and visited the site where the Oracle once foretold the future. Highlights
