Veterans' Benefits

Welcome home and welcome to the CCV community!

As a veteran you have given your all to our country. Now let CCV give you the assistance you may need in getting started with college. Whether you have transitioned out of the military or are still serving, CCV is dedicated to accompanying you every step of the way to meeting your educational goals . As a first step, we can help you navigate the process of accessing your GI Benefits, which in many cases will fully cover the cost of a CCV degree.

Benefits

Most of CCV’s programs, in accordance with Veterans Administration (V.A.) criteria, are approved by the Vermont Department of Education for veterans’ education leading to a college degree or approved training program. A veteran may be covered by the Montgomery GI Bill or the Post 9/11 GI Bill.

Veteran benefits may include payment for courses, books, tutoring and a housing allowance. In some circumstances, educational benefits may be transferred to a dependent. A veteran’s eligibility is established by the Veterans’ Administration. Information regarding the V.A. process for educational benefits may be found at www.gibill.va.gov or by calling 1-888-442-4551.

At each CCV location there is an academic advisor available to help you learn about CCV and direct you to community and educational resources. Click here to find the veterans advisor nearest you.

Additionally, you may reach CCV’s designated veterans’ educational benefits contact by emailing penne.ciaraldi@ccv.edu or by calling 1-802-828-4060. Veterans need to be aware that in most cases, CCV’s concentration areas and learning experiences are approved for V.A. benefits, but it’s always good to check with a CCV advisor to be sure that all courses are approved. Veterans receiving educational benefits must comply with V.A. expectations and regulations.

Veterans with disabilities may be entitled to additional benefits. To learn about VA vocational rehabilitation benefits call 1-800-827-1000.
